F. Francis and Dionne Najafi Thunderbird Global Headquarters

In the vibrant heart of Phoenix, Arizona, Thunderbird School of Global Management’s Global Headquarters is redefining the future of global education. The $67 million building is named after Phoenix philanthropists Francis and Dionne Najafi, who bequeathed a historic $25 million donation to the school, and is located at First and Polk streets.

Designed by Moore Ruble Yudell and Jones Studio, the building has been lauded as "the most technologically advanced building of any leadership, management, or business school in the world." From its flexible classrooms to 1,600 square feet of digital displays and culturally significant art donated by alumni, Thunderbird’s headquarters exemplifies global inclusivity and innovation.

Phoenix, the United States' fifth-largest and fastest-growing city, offers a dynamic backdrop for Thunderbird’s Global Headquarters. With strong ties to the downtown professional community, students gain unique access to media, health care, corporate, and government organizations, enabling them to forge valuable learning and career connections.

Thunderbird Global Headquarters, designed to be accessible and inclusive, was also honored for Excellence in Architecture in October 2022 by the City of Phoenix Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues, recognizing its dedication to creating opportunities for all learners.

With the city of Phoenix investing $13.5 million into this transformative project, Thunderbird continues to strengthen its role as a global leader in education while introducing Phoenix to the world.
