Overview

Effective marketing on a global scale takes more than a traditional marketing strategy, analysis and approach.  It takes a keen understanding of today’s transformative 4th Industrial Revolution technologies, market disruptions, future trends and perspectives on how to set products or services apart in the global marketplace.  Designed for those seeking current and future marketing developments, this online certificate will provide the most current knowledge, tools, understanding, and hands-on skills to succeed in the world of global marketing.

This program has been enhanced with the addition of three synchronous virtual workshops throughout the eight-week experience. While it is offered as a Thunderbird Executive Education on-demand program, it will now feature two key enhancements: continuous engagement with an online facilitator and three live virtual workshops designed to deepen learning and interaction. The fall 2025 session will run from September 8 to November 14.

  • The Kick-Off Workshop during the week of September 8 will introduce participants to the program while fostering connections with peers through interactive technology and engaging prompts. The session will explore today’s rapidly evolving business environment and key marketing perspectives essential for success. Participants will be encouraged to adopt a “Yes-And” mindset for collaborative learning within the cohort and with the facilitator. The workshop will also include a Q&A session covering course details and navigation.
  • The Virtual Workshop on October 13, marking the beginning of Module 6, will focus on discussions around disruptors in today’s VUCA world. Participants will engage in experiential exercises to address the challenges of building a unique value proposition, gaining traction, and responding effectively to uncertainty. A tech tool exercise will provide an opportunity to reflect on key insights gained from the first five modules, as well as explore emerging curiosities for the remainder of the course.
  • The final Virtual Workshop on November 14, concluding Module 8, will examine how participants can integrate circular economy principles and shared value generation into their roles. A guided discussion will explore opportunities and challenges, followed by breakout sessions on leveraging strategic communications for impact. An interactive exercise, “Selling a Microwave to Cavepeople,” will encourage innovative thinking and agency for change in marketing. The workshop will conclude with participants committing to a meaningful action step, supported by an accountability partner.

To earn the certificate and three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) participant must finish the course with a grade of 80% or higher.
